Static decanter

These are usually stainless steel tanks or GRP (fiberglass reinforced polyester). Wastewater, normally flocculated, is poured into it continuously through, since decanters for intermittent flows have a different design. Inside, the solids are deposited on the bottom, which has an inclination of between 45 and 60 degrees, where they are extracted by a sludge pumping system or with the help of a bottom sweeping system. The water released from solid particles rises to the surface where it is extracted through a channel or overflow.
