Gas scrubber tower (Wet Scrubber)

The function of the Scrubber or gas scrubbing tower is to remove certain harmful substances from the gases produced in some industrial processes.

The operation is as follows. The residual gas enters through the lower part and rises up the tower, where a plastic filling is arranged whose function is that the contact surface of the gas with the cleaning solution is much greater. At the same time, from the top of the tower, the liquid cleaning solution is poured down through the filling and comes into contact with the gas, eliminating unwanted substances, remaining diluted in the solution. At the bottom there is a small tank and a pump to recirculate the solution.
