This system separates solids, fats, oils from water using induced air. It is a rectangular tank, normally open. Its operation is based on the addition of air bubbles of 100 to 150 microns to the water through a self-breathable system located at the bottom, this makes the bubbles adhere to the particles, accelerating their ascent to the surface , where they are removed by a rake mechanism. Any sediment will be removed from the float by a drainage system.

Other flotation technologies can be studied if they are a better solution.
